school age daycare went alright. it was weird though, i'm usually mrs enthusiasim for whatever i'm doing. but when my professor came to observe me, after she watched the half hour of me standing around and trying to have conversations with the 10 year olds and failing miserably she said...

"you're just putting in your time, aren't you?"

how do you respond to that? part of my job description is being enthusiastic and happy and into it. i tried to evade her as much as possible.

luckily it was made up for this last week. this last week i was in infant care, with under 2's. it was the best not-vince-and-jason-related week in my life. after she did the observation she said...

"you have this glow around you, when you work. you were completely absorbed. i hope you do your final practicum (the one we get paid to do, and pick the age group) with infants. we need good people like you with this age range."

and instead of going back on the floor, we sat and chatted for a half hour about life. it was great. infants are great. as long as I don't have to have one, i could spend every hour of my life with them. adoption is a possibility, just nothing out my crotch plzkthanx.
