I kind of really want to do the ASK ME ABOUT THE FANDOM AND I WILL TELL YOU THINGS meme, but I've participated in sort of an obnoxious amount of fandoms. (I'm doing a 25 fandoms blackout for kink bingo)

Hellz yes I love Tamora Pierce. I started with the Circle of Magic series, but I now own everything she's done. Except for the Melting Stones audiobook. I downloaded it but it nearly killed me to wait for the book to come out because I can only podfic if I'm not doing anything else, like sitting with my eyes closed, and doing that long enough for an entire novel is kind of impossible. But I love that she did it. I had a chance to meet her at a convention (a paid for breakfast discussion) and I got to thank her for making Daja a lesbian because OMG FUCK YEAH AWESOME. And then like a year later Bloodhound came out and I just about died with a trans character. I LOVE THAT WOMAN SO MUCH.

Fuck if I know. I thought she was friends with the Terminator, but then when I signed up for a Doctor Who craft swap Sarah Chronicles was a linked fandom, like Torchwood. So apparently there is some sort of Terminator and Doctor Who connection I wasn't aware of? It's sort of hard to see Arnold Swarchenegger and Matt Smith being friends, but whatever.

You met Tamora Pierce! Awesome! Wild Magic was my first Tamora Pierce book and I still love it. I've read all of her books except the Beka Cooper trilogy (I read the first but I'm not keen on first person POV. But a trans character? I may have to try again ...)

Doctor Who connected to SCC? Uh, no ... no idea what that was about. I did once read an awesome SCC crossover involving Martha Jone and The Year That Wasn't though!

I have done some googling, and I appear to have mixed up sara jane chronicles and sara conner chronicles. Which makes me feel better, because like I said, matt smith and arnold shouldn't be friends, that's weird.

At first it seems like a gay relationship, but then it's a het relationship between a man and a transwoman AND EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL AND FANTASTIC. <3_<3 Tamora Pierce, I cannot even with you.

There's a distinct lack of anime and manga on that list I notice so I'm going to be evil and ask what you think you know about Gundam Wing :-)

And I see you're into New Who so what do you know about Classic Who?

Gundam Wing:
Everyone is named after numbers. Heero and Duo and Quatre and Trokia?. And possibly Wuf? Wufee? Oh, and the bad guy is 13. Like Trioize or something. And they are warriors in a distant future. With machines I think. Like Transformers style? And one has a really long braid. And in anime it's super important that when you /, the bottom goes...somewhere. I don't remember if they're the first name or the second, but anime fans REALLY REALLY CARE. I don't know much more. My friend was an anime fan, so I watched Gravitation/read some fic, but the first fic I read for Gundam was a hardcore rape scene between 13 and Duo, and then I backed away.

Classic Who: Someone has a crazy stripey scarf. I'm assuming there are a lot of Daleks, since by Nine he's already kicked Dalek ass like 5 trillon times. Also probably Cybermen, since they're supposed to be another ancient enemy, but they appeared twice in 11, and not at all in 9. Back when it was first filmed, Police Boxes were something that actually existed. LOL I KNOW NOTHING. The Doctor's never been black or a woman. Oh, I saw somewhere one of the doctors carries vegetables in his pocket. Like celery, or parsley.

Yup, everyone is definitely named after numbers, though it can be a bit obscure in places. And yes, the Gundam (Really Big Robots) pilots are Heero, Duo (the one with the braid), Quatre, Trowa, and Wufei. And yes, the mostly bad guy is Trieze. So you pretty much nailed that!

The same with Classic Who! The Fourth Doctor had a crazy scarf and the Fifth kept a stick of celery on his lapel (he's the guy sitting down in my icon). The Daleks first appeared in the second adventure ever back in December 1963 so they've been around a LONG time now. The Cybermen didn't get introduced until 1966 so they're mere babies in comparison :-)
