I'm going to be so manic for the next few days. Periods of calm followed by hysterical crying, with the occasional numbness.

Basically, just as I was going to bed wednesday (for me, but it was really 4.30 am Thurs) my dad started puking. I helped him because my mom a) is scared of people puking and b) didn't even wake up. I figured it was just food posioning, and after he went back to bed, I did too.

But all day Thursday he's been shitting blood. And he won't go to the damn hospital until Friday morning, because he's convinced there are no doctors available at night. IT'S A HOSPITAL. THERE ARE ALWAYS DOCTORS. AND IF THERE WEREN'T AT SEVEN OAKS, THEY'D SHIP ONE IN FROM ONE OF THE OTHER DOZEN HOSPITALS WE HAVE.

But he's going tomorrow morning, and he figures he'll be there all weekend. And I don't drive, and my mom is blind and can't drive. My relatives are all out at their cabins, and Vince is in Fargo with his long distance boyfriend. We're too poor for having cell phones, and calling cabs. So if I want to see him, I'll need to bus to him. And my mom would never get on a bus, so I'd have to leave her home alone. Which is a dangerous idea.

I just really need him to have something that's not terminal. And hopefully something that doesn't involve surgery, because some people die under anethestic.
