Feb. 21st, 2012 02:04 amSo I need a bit of help for brbb. Not for betaing or anything, just for fangirl opinion/experience.
If you were waiting in line for one of the Danger Days tours, one of the MCR headliner ones, where as far as the eye can see are people dressed as Killjoys, as neat and orderly line as you can get- but then Frank and Gerard just casually walked down the street/sidewalk opposite the side you're on when they are very much not expected...what do you do?
I can see someone shouting out "better stay on this side of the street motherfucker I'll knock you out!" because, well, it fits. But I've never really gone to a concert with a meet and greet, so I don't know how hardcore fans react to seeing their band.
Help, please?

Date: 2012-02-21 09:04 pm (UTC)The guys would never be near the lineup if they could help it. There was one show I went to at a very small venue in michigan, the guys did come out the front at one point in the afternoon, after soundcheck and got in a car and went somewhere (we have no idea where), and came back an hour later, they were escorted by security the whole time. They waved and smiled at ua, but didn't stop and they were as far from the line as they could be. I'm not sure the reason why they didn't go out the back, but it was a very odd venue.
But yeah, if, for some strange reason, the guys did go by the line, they would get mobbed with fans.
I've seen them play in casinos a couple of times and there were reports both times that very early in the day (like 8+ hours before show time) one or two of the guys might have been walking around the casino, but they were never alone, always with security, and once it got to the point that there was a long lineup of people waiting (usualy around 6 hours before show time) they were tucked away safely someplace fans wouldn't find them.
Most of the time, they won't even come out and sign after shows unless there's a very secure barrier or fence in place between them and the fans and the crowd is not very rowdy and venue security approves.
The time I met Frank in the parking lot was a total fluke. Total. Fluke. He should not have been out in the parking lot by himself without security, because there were fans milling around back there and it wasn't very well lit. It still bothers me that he was alone. (however it's possible that he thought not many fans would be out there because Blink was still playing? or who knows, knowing Frank, he might have been in the mood to meet some fans and that factored into his thinking. IDEK)
OMG so sorry for the tl;dr lol!
