Bandom has filk!
I really wish someone had told me earlier, but whatever. It's cool, I'm not mad. How could I possibly be mad when FILK.
See, I really like it. Like, a lot. I didn't really give a shit before my first Harry Potter con, but when I went I'd been awake for about 36 hours and delerious my roomies talked me into going. And it woke me the fuck up, and there was a Wrock moshpit. And they'd put us in a room on the second floor, so when we moshed we broke the chandelier in the room below us. Because VOLDEMORT CAN'T STOP THE WROCK.
But I always thought it was geared more towards sci-fi/fantasy fandoms.
THIS HAS PROVEN UNTRUE.
Thanks to ladyfoxxx, I have found a bandom filker. I was talking about how Taking Back Sunday made me want Pete/Mikey with lyrics like Hoping for the best just hoping nothing happens/A thousand clever lines unread on clever napkins and I stay wrecked and jealous for this, for this simple reason/I just need to keep you in mind/as something larger than life , and she linked me to a song. Titled Summer of Like. And I was like ...daaaamn, that's lucky. And then I noticed the guy had a poster of Jon Walker, and I was like ...wait! AND THEN HE STARTED SINGING AND IT WAS A PETE/MIKEY FILK SONG.
BANDOM HAS FILK. I'M NEVER LEAVING.
