What the fucking shit just happened to this section?

It was supposed to be a quick few lines helping transition the story from Mikey re-meeting Gerard to Mikey meeting Pete, who would introduce him to the people he's gonna start dating. I couldn't go from one meeting scene to the next. It was supposed to be just a short 'hey, nice apartment, yay geek movies' thing, no more than 300 words.

Instead there are all these FEELINGS. And it's dealing with the opening sci-fi concept that I started the story with, that was going to be mostly left alone until the ending. It's 800 words, and it's nowhere NEAR being finished.

Some people get surprise sex scenes. I get surprise cognitive dissonance, and angst, and drug use and jello.

*facepalm*

ETA: I have my bandom masterlist up. Sorting took almost as long as copy/pasting all the links and pairings and summaries. But it had to be perfect, because I'm obsessive-compulsive like that.

Right now I have it sorted into verses, and things I co write with others. Drabbles and big bangs both have their own section. And then I have a lot of Mikey/Gerard and Mikey/Gerard/___, and Pete/Mikey/Gabe, so those have pairing sections.

But there's also a long list of assorted pairing fics, and I was wondering if anyone had opinions on if that needs more organisation. Like should I put moresomes into their own category? Or try to separate by band (though that'll be nearly impossible, I write a lot of cross-band.) Because right now it's just a long list, and it's bugging me. Because I'm obsessive compulsive like that. So take a look, and then give me thoughts.

Personally I like how you have your masterlist now. Though my opinion counts for little as for my own all I do is add new stuff to the top of the list. No organising at all.

Uh, sorry for just randomly popping up like this! But I find the majority of the fic I read by finding authors' journals and going through their master lists, and I just wanted to say that I think yours is just fine as is. There's plenty of organization, but not so much that it looks really cluttered. I can't figure out how you could improve it (that could say more about me than your master list, though, I guess). Although, honestly, I haven't read much of your stuff yet, but what I have read is good enough that I'd slog through just one big completely unorganized list. Or even just a fic tag. Uh, sorry for not commenting on anything! (that I remember? I read a lot of fic. I don't think I've commented on your stuff, though...) I really do like it though! Especially A State of Orange and the Slantverse. I love all the BDSM-verse stuff spawned by Xanthe's fics. I make an effort to find any I can in every fandom I get into. I was kind of upset it took me so long to find Slantverse!
