khereselle wrote Rage Fear Sorrow Shame, a fic about Mikey getting kidnapped and Gerard looking for him. I asked her to write it, and I would feel bad because few people seemed to appreciate it, but I can't feel bad because I made this story exist. The world is a better place with it. It's the angst fic of my freakin' dreams. It's gen, though I can see bits of Pete/Mikey preslash.
rubytuesday5681 wrote You Know That (is nothing new), a fic about Frank falling in love with an agorophobic Gerard. It's really long, and the sex scenes are really good. Frank/Gerard obviously, with prior Gerard/Bert.
kopperblaze wrote Love Is An Obstacle Course, a fic about Frank being a new recruit to the army. Normally I don't give a shit about the army, but this was really written well, and made me care. Frank/Pedicone (an AU where he isn't a massive douche)

I read it a year ago, and then when I watched the remake of the movie, it wasn't like the fic, and I was all WHO TOOK LIBERTIES? AUTHOR OR SCRIPT WRITER? I am pleased to learn that it was the director. It's old fic, but it makes me glee. Plus it has an equally long sequel. Mostly gen, some Bob/Ray preslash.
My litmus test for if I should rec something is the OH GOD IT'S 5AM test. If I keep reading, even though it's ridiculous o-clock, or I decide to take the next bus because it's more important I finish the fic first, I rec it. The exception on this list is You Know That (is nothing new), because I was reading it as she sent it to me, in a sort of cheerleading capacity. But I hope you enjoy some of these things, and LEAVE COMMENTS for the new ones. More recs are sure to come as I get deeper into bbb.
