gala_applesSometimes a really good interview can be like a kick in the face.
For BBB wave one, Jasley and I wrote a Serial Killers Anonymous fic. At first we weren't sure it was gonna make 20k, we thought we might have to save it for wave two. And then it got longer, and longer, and longer. 90k later, we're writing the codas until the day we post, and we never got to write the prequel Ryan&Brendon gen stuff. (for the record, Ryan Ross fails at life, Brendon's life is Very Hard)
Our primary characters were Gerard, Mikey, Brendon, and Frank. One of our secondary characters was Kesha. Kesha was a cannibal, because that's the sort of sense of humor me and Jasley have. We're just awesome like that.
And then today. Gerard saying Mikey is a shark, because he likes to eat people. My brain will NOT SHUT THE FUCK UP about writing an AU where Mikey and Kesha are friends. See in the story Gerard and Mikey are buddies, and Kesha is with William and Gabe. But if Mikey had been paired with Kesha?
See, I know Jasley wouldn't want to write it. Skanon is our ONLY shared verse that is finished. Some have multiple AUs, some just span thirty years. Skanon was supposed to be the ONE FINISHED ONE. (aside from the Ryan&Brendon failness that would probably never get written). I don't particularly want to write it. But there's just something about Kesha and Mikey draining a club kid and chowing down that looks shiny in my brain.
