the problem with wanting to sign up for apocalypse big bang is that there are faaaar too many delicious choices. I sort of have a thing for apocali and off the top of my head:

-natural plague outbreak (SARS style, except actually deadly)
-forced government imposed plague to cull the overpopulation
-biowarfare outbreak
-vampire
-zombie
-meteor
-global warming
-demon
-angry aliens
-evil vs good rapture
-young vs old rapture
-robots of the crush kill destroy method
-robots nanos eating everything style
-semi apocalypse of retreating into computers while the world goes to hell (matrix/pendragon 4 style)

So yeah, that's 14 ideas without actually even thinking anything about characters or real plot. If I try this, It'll be hard as hell to focus and actually decide on a plot. Not to mention that there appear to be zero bandom sign-ups, and at this point I'm never writing a long fic again, if I'm not guaranteed at least slight readership.

Also, I broke my toe and it hurts like a bitch. So Not Cool.

Lastly, I'm torn between finishing my Mikey in a BDSM club, my Gerard/Patrick, a Gerard/Mikey/Pete, and writing a Killjoys prostitution fic. Or just a normal hooker fic, like I outlined in turps journal the other day. (What can I say? I like hookers.)

THERE ARE JUST SO MANY SHINY HAPPY WAYS THAT SHIT COULD GO DOWN! (and also, no matter what pairing/threesome I end up picking, know that Gabe will survive. Because I love him being all HAHAHA TOLD YOU SO MOTHERFUCKERS. which I know I already wrote for my pgm table, but seriously, any apocalypse has to have Gabe Being Right.)

I feel like I need to write All The Fic, all the time. There's this never ending list of shiny and awesome to get done. I think it'll probably be the Mikey/Gerard though, because it has PICTURES and I need to get them off my tabs before others use the computer and see them. lol.

Biowarfare freaks the fuck out of me, so if you're aiming for scary, I think that's pretty horrible. Or the government plague thing. *shivers* Actually, anything to do with disease is scary because it's unstoppable.

The first time I watched Outbreak I was 10 or 12, and it made me cry. I flipped the fuck out. I definately agree, disease apocalypses are the scariest. But do I want scary, or do I want OH SHIT, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE, IT'S TOTALLY ENEVITABLE, LET'S DO WHAT WE WANT UNTIL THEN? In which case a meteor apocalypse is much better. Or do I want an apocalypse where they might still live in the end? In which case zombie or global warming is better. (see? too many ways to end the world!)

It's really fun to write, but it needs a lot of editing, there was a bunch of stuff from my transcribed notes that doesn't fit.

fandom is LOVELY like that. lol. to be fair, zombie apocalypse movies often have the fear fucking thing, and when it's an inevitable end of the world, like a meteor crashing like a bullet into a pumpkin, it gives you a week or two of rioting, looting, and doing whatever the fuck else you want to do. *shrugs* fucking at the end of the world isn't that impossible.

You know... to be fair, I completely see the appeal. The urban squalor, the dirty, tattered clothes, the free running, shooting, climbing buildings, and beautiful shots. I see it completely.

And you can only really do it in your fandom; not in Dron! Draco'd be like "AAAAAA!!" and Ron'd be like "Corpus Explodis! There. Done. No more zombie problem." And it'd be over.

it's just like why i enjoy dystopias, it's all dirty and desperate and awesome. once you have the "we're totally fucked no matter what" vibe, why not do what you want? for example, if there ever is a zombie apocalypse i'm getting high on heroin. i've always wanted to try it, but i'm smarter than that. but if it's the end of the world? fuck it. you can't really get addicted when you only have 4 days left to live. :D

that is a brilliant summation of what would happen. i actually wrote a 'five apocalypses' Ginny/Pansy fic, it was a lot of fun. i especially liked writing the apparating away during the zombie apocalypse. but the climate change one was fun too, where the entirey of hogwarts is just focused on keeping the warming charms going as the rest of the world freezes to death.
