I also have a few MCR questions, for those of you that know more canon than I.

-Is Mikey and Gerard’s dad in the picture? I’ve read a bunch about mom and Elena in the house, but nothing about dad in any fic, but my (lame) googlefu tells me they have one.

-When did MCR switch over from the van to a tour bus? Please tell me it was still around when Bob was their sound guy. I’ve got like 4k of Bob as sound guy in a van fic. Did they have a bus for warped 2004, so Gerard could have his hyjinks with Bert?

-Frank’s the only one that’s vegan, right?


I think I'm going to work on some HP stuff next. It's been awhile since I wrote a HP fic I wanted to, not just because there was a fest I had to finish it for. Although I really need to finish my Mikey/Gerard crossdressing, so I can read the 19k of Mikey/Gerard/Frank crossdressing turps33 wrote. I have this thing about not reading what I'm currently writing, but I really want to read the fic, so I need to bang it out quickly.

eta: EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. a lot of my hpfandom christmas fests are coming out with sign-ups right now. does bandom do christmas exchanges? aside from yuletide, which i will be signing up for with MacDonald Hall <3333

It's been awhile since I wrote a HP fic I wanted to.

I hear that. I've got a Regulus/Barty series that's been fermenting in my mind-tank for a while now, but I've not had the time to get it down.

Not that I don't enjoy writing for fests and the like (obviously, I do, or I wouldn't keep signing up for them), but it'd be nice to finish a "just 'cos" fic instead of starting them and letting them languish on my computer for a year and a half.

i know what you mean. fests make me happy, i get to write something specific and possibly boundary stretching, and then i get a catered to me gift. but sometimes i just want to write random character/random character doing random thing, just because i FEEL LIKE IT.

Yep, he is in the picture. They refer to him as handsome Don, like here (http://www.mychemicalromance.com/blog/mikey/get-her). There's a few pictures floating around of him and Donna backstage at shows.

There is a bandom exchange but it's invite only. There are other holiday challenges though, and there's nothing to say a new exchange challenge won't be thought up, there's always new stuff each year.

*sigh* i guess i'm spoiled from hp, last year i signed up for 6 separate hp christmas fests. to hear that there's only one, and it's invite only is a sad thing. but maybe there can be a christmas meme, or a flist member exchange or something.

yeah. but i watched it the day i left for infinitus. so, i watched it, and then went and saw three plays for fringe festival, and then had a mental breakdown in the airport, and then was awake for the next 106 hours (minus 8 hours for various naps). and then came home, slept about 5 hours, and went and saw seven plays a day for the next week and a half. and then had a massive fight with my friends for going to see plays instead of hanging out with them.

needless to say, my memory of said documentary is snippets like AWWW, GERARD WAS PETER PAN and I NOW UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE LOVES BRIAN. i will end up watching it again soon, i'm sure.

I just read your Mikey/Gerard fic-- I would've commented there, but I'm not a member of MCS, bleh to that- and just had to say that it's fucking awesome. I haven't actually read anything of yours, I kept meaning to sit down and do it but I haven't been at the computer a lot, so this was a shock. Your writing is fantastic. Beautiful and paints quite very dynamic picture for such a small amount of text.

And yes, Frank is the only one who's vegan!

i'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the compliment about my writing. sometimes i'm just in it for the porn, but sometimes i like to write fics that are more 'pretty' than descriptive. it's a thin line between pretty and purple prose, or incomprehensible wannabe deep babbble, and it's good to know i walked the right side of it.

and don't worry about not looking at the other stuff. if it's a pairing or grouping you like, go for it, if not, don't. it's all good, either way. :)

yes the Way dad was around, because Gerard talks about his dad driving him to the tour bus, and having to cancel a show (in... 05?) because his dad had a heartattack

the van was around at least for a bit while Bob was sound guy, because Brian talked about going to Europe with Bob and MCR and it being just the 7 of them in the van (03 I believe, right after the Used tour in like.. March?)

i'm so happy bob is in the van! although crap, it'll have to be AU anyway, because i totally don't have room for brian in these shenangians. matt is already passed out in the passenger seat so the five of them can have fun in the back and middle bench, i don't have anywhere for brian to go. (lol, brian slept in the trailer thing behind them)

basically it starts with g/r/f/m in the back bench seat, and bob is driving and matt is sleeping. and then bob is like what the fuck are you doing? and he pulls over. and then there is sex.
