yay! i finished my ownficfest fic. it was rough going for a bit, but then i decided to change the ending from creepy dub-con to happysex, and it all worked out wonderfully.

boo! on a whim of happiness i signed up for cestfest and another big bang. i swear, i'm bloody well addicted to fests.

one day i'll write something that's not for a fest, but right now i'm going to start my crossgen. :D i've already got an idea for it, hooray!

Last year I joined so many fests, I burned myself out on them. Not so much this year. But still, I seem to be writing everything for other people. *shrugs* But, hey, at least we're being productive, right?

EXACTLY, a prolific writer is a happy writer! (usually). i never have the intent to Join More Fests, i just go look at daily snitch and it has a link to another fest that has a concept i'm interested in, like emofest, or a character i love, i'll be signing up for bestmates christmas when sign ups come out, and then it's like "oh shit, more on the list"

on the plus side, writing for fests means that someone is going to be writing a you-oriented-fic, and i love it. it's like coming home and your dad's made cookies while you were at college, awesome and shiny, and sure it's not technically a gift because you did do the dishes yesterday so he owes you, but it doesn't matter because they're ALL YOURS. and that metaphor probably wasn't very good, and quite rambly besides, but i'm trying to work myself back into happiness after the last fic i read crushed my soul. hell, maybe i'll go make some cookies.
