i've been reading 16 years. i first started reading chapter books when i was five, my family went on a trip and i didn't have anything to read so someone there lent me a children's version of the wizard of oz. i had three days to read over 100 pages which was an epic feat at the time. so i taught myself how to speedread, and i've been doing it ever since.

16 years of reading, and i've never had a character i hate more than severus snape. it's why i don't often read hbp, because ever since the first time, reading what he did, i couldn't stand him.

i just got back from watching HBP (bad fangirl, leaving it so late) and i was twitching the entire bus ride home. i wish harry had just avadaed him on the spot.

that being said, the rest of the movie was fairly good. cried twice, at the burrow and at dumbledore's death. ron's taking of the love potion was just like jason said; it looked like he was rolling on e. hilarious. and harry's felix was like he was stoned. i wish they'd given more supporting of harry to ron, it seemed hermione and ginny were all over him. <3 seamus.

i don't think snape's decision was based solely upon saving his own head. there were a lot of factors that forced his hand. firstly, dumbledore was already dying. he wasn't talking draco down from murder so he didn't get killed, he was talking draco down from murder because he wanted to save draco from a life as a death eater. because dumbledore knew that draco needs snuggles... secondly, snape knew he was going to be important to the war. he's one of the few people who can save harry's arse. i mean, even in book seven he's still having to drag harry out of trouble every two seconds. and as much as dumbledore might want to be that guy, he was always shit at saving harry, always away on vacation whenever voldemort decided to descend on hogwarts... and dumbledore had already told him to do it. as much as i wouldn't murder my friends/family because someone else told me to, i would kill someone if they begged me. when dumbledore says 'please, severus', he isn't asking severus to save him...he's begging for death...

*ahem*

they're having a flashback to young dumbledore...and someone has been cast as grindlewald...so it might not be too much to hope (it probably is, but what the hey, i can dream)...

oh, stoner harry *snuggles him* oh, and loving!ron...please to be gettin him addicted to amortentia...
