gala_applesOnce again, super grateful to whoever bought me paid time. I think I would still hang out on DW over LJ if I didn't have icons, but I'd be sadder about it. LJ seems to have laid out their opinion flat out. Thanks guys, hope you enjoy tons of people with free accounts as your paying customer base leaves. :) Hope that business model works out for you!
In the last 48 hours I've been out of bed for maybe ten. Prime time tv on Thursday, and a snippet between 3 am and 6am today. It's a sinus sort of cold instead of a coughing sort of cold. Normally I'd probably want that if I had a choice, because the ones with me coughing tend to devolve into hospital visits for oxygen. Not getting immunized as a kid and getting whooping cough several times in high school years fucked my shit up. However, right now it feels like someone's hit me in the ears, nose, cheekbones, and eyes, with several small but powerful shovels. That pain can stop any time now, thanks.
When I finally got up today I was all GONNA FANDOM LIKE A BOSS. READ FLIST. WRITE NO TAGS. WRITE RANDOMBANDOM. WRITE THE THIRD REVERSEBB I JUST CLAIMED. DO ALL THE FUCKING THINGS!!!! Just like the classic All The Things comic, I am completely overwhelmed and need to hide under a table. Managed to get through skip45 on DW. Have not tackled skip120 on LJ. Wrote like one or two comments. Skipped over things I knew I will like and want to read like Jedsaur's fic and pennyplainknit's ot3 not-fic, because I have little to zero enthusiasm to write a comment and it's not fair to read fic and not comment.
Am excited though, about the bandom meme that's now on DW. Maybe it'll actually update, unlike the anon_lovefest one that would linger for months. When I can actually think I will lay down prompts. Also will write things. That day is not today.
The plan is now look up what pairings I've been assigned for randombandom so that can start percolating, and then transcribe brbb3 notes. That's 11 sides of notebook paper. I kinda started writing snippets before I officially claimed it, since I thought the likelihood of someone running in and claiming it 12 hours before I did was low. Once I have the mini-scenes/few sentences of dialogue typed I can figure out what the fuck my plot is.
As a side note on brbb: I'm pretty sure I will disappoint all three people. My first was a vocal with no notes, so I wrote MCR GSF. I later listened to podfic that sounded like the same voice, and turns out that woman doesn't do Waycest. My second was a graphic who I'm 99% sure I know who made it, and only after it was 3/4'ths done did I find out that the person doesn't like a major plot point I put in. Now I have Frank/Gerard hand drawn art, and I bet that the person will end up not liking kink. Because that's the way I roll in this challenge, apparently.
TLDR: yay anons! siiiiick! too much fandom! will care later! too much to write for fandom! worst brbb writer ever!
