You should all go see Suckerpunch. 10.25 well spent. (Side note- SING came on the theatre radio while I was standing in line for tickets, I totally sang along. People were staring. It was awesome.) There was an article in the Winnipeg Free Press about it being a feminist movie, *shrugs* I wasn't really paying attention to that though, I was just all \o/ dragons \o/ fighter planes \o/ insane people \o/ But for those of you that care about that sort of thing, another reason to watch!

I am the only one in all 8 pages of queer_fest to post bandom requests. Don't make me have to write my own prompt, that's lame. Go post something!

Watch Stargate Atlantis. I just finished a few days ago, and now I need alllll the fic. Especially Ronon fic. I'd go straight for that man. GodDAMN is he amazing.

eta: can anyone name a band that broke up because members in it hooked up and there was badness when they started hating each other? The only one I can think of is the Mamas and the Papas, but that's not actually the reason for the split, so sayeth wikipedia. Also I can't see Andy Hurley listening to them.

Suckerpunch question: (no spoilers, pls) but is there any sex? I wanna take my kid because she loved Resident Evil and Tomb Raider and anything with awesome girl power in it...but I don't let her watch nookie.

Hard to say? There are a few almost non-con scenes, (the staff are horrible people) but in both cases it's stopped before there's any nudity, and stopped in ways that leave no question as to BAD EVIL HORRIBLE. (ie no creepy exploitation shit) Oh, and in one of the dreams of the MC it's a brothel, but there's no sex, and it's definitely not glorified. It's pretty violent, but if she's watched Resident Evil (or Kick Ass more recently) then it should be okay?

Would No Doubt count? I mean, they didn't actually break up, but Gwen started writing songs about the relationship she had with that other dude in the band and I think they were some of their biggest singles. That would be weird.
